We are part of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC), a family of churches that believe in sovereign grace. Orthodox means "straight thinking" and describes the foundational truth of the Bible. Presbyterian describes our faithful heritage that proclaims the gospel of sovereign grace. Church describes our family of Christ's followers, a home where people find grace week after week.

Presbyterian church government is biblically balanced among ministers, elders, and deacons represented at local, regional, and denominational levels. Sovereign Grace is part of the Midwest region (Presbytery of the Midwest).

Since Sovereign Grace is still a mission work, we are supervised by the Session of Covenant of Grace OPC Batavia, IL.
